  • Part 1 How can I participate in the self-assessment test?

    Xicheng Academy will hold campus Open Day activities every month. In addition to enrollment information and campus visit, independent tests will be held at the same time. Students are advised to attend the Open Day activities with their parents and conduct independent tests.

  • Part 2 Independent Interview Evaluation Process (about 1.5 hours)

    English Test MAP assessment）

    Form: Measures of Academic Progress online system assessment

    Time: Approximately 45 minutes. (MAP is an adaptive system. The actual assessment time varies from person to person as it adjusts the difficulty according to the student's answers.)

    Evaluation content:

    • English language application: The assessment content includes vocabulary spelling, grammar rules, the main idea of an article or paragraph, the writing framework and logical sequencing of argumentative essays, the use of punctuation marks, and rhetorical devices.
    • English reading: The assessment content is poetry appreciation, English national literature and national profiles.

    Mathematical Test

    Form: Online system assessment

    Time:Approximately 40 minutes

    Assessment content: The test is divided into objective multiple-choice questions, subjective fill-in-the-blank questions, and problem-solving questions. The test language is composed of Chinese and English. The scope of knowledge examined is the knowledge points of junior high school grade three.

    Oral English Test

    Form: Interview test for English language teachers

    Time: Approximately 20 minutes

    Assessment content: For student interviews, the main areas of assessment include English listening and conversation ability, self-awareness and self-expression, English communication and critical thinking ability, etc. For family interviews, the main topics are basic family information, the degree of alignment between family and school educational concepts, and family expectations for the child's future education.

  • Part 3 Self-assessment Process

    Click the "Make an appointment" button to determine the appointment time according to the schedule, or contact the enrollment phone to make an appointment.

    If an applicant has incomplete materials, they will be eligible for interview assessment from the date when all materials are complete. On the day of assessment, the final admission result from the school will be received. Please keep your communication devices unobstructed. After receiving the admission letter, you have one day to discuss with your family whether to accept the admission letter issued by the school. Payment is the only proof for confirming admission. If the payment is overdue, the validity of the admission letter will be invalidated. If you want to apply for admission, you need to participate in the assessment again.
